This could be the top story at this years event. I think it's safe to say you'll need a couple layers of clothing! SOOOO looking forward to it.

Thanks ..Oct 4th that's a wednesday. Darn have to work on thursday. BIG TRIP.

Kerri and I were tired of everything being on the Dallas side of the metroplex. And I'm not in town on weekends, so we settled on wed night near downtown....

On a side note I just found that my steering shaft is unserviceable. And there's too much fab work involved in the time I have to get ready--I was hoping to drive the bronco to work this week. . Guess it's time to spend big dollars on store bought pieces...

Did it at least quit raining before you had to leave?

Yeah, sat in the back of the Bronco in the garage to stay out of the water until a boat came by. Water at teh street was at least chest deep. Damn glad that is over. Now the long road to recovery.

Was so looking forward to OCBR. House must come first. Wife and dog need a roof over head.

Now the long road to recovery.

I have a friend that lives near me now, but lived in Baytown when the last hurricane came thru. FEMA came along and asked if he has suffered any damage. Why, yes. He had some shingles blow off (the above-garage apartment they were living in.). For something like 18 months they got $1000/mo to "help them recover." And btw, he got married in Katy this past Saturday morning and flew off to Hawaii for an all expense paid (by a close friend/mentor) soon after.

I hope FEMA does the same for you but on a scaled up basis.
