Good luck brother...

Drove mine to town Friday morning to drop off an engine for some machine work—probably $350 in work. On the way home the OD light starts flashing. So I’ve got transmission woes and we’re down to days before??? Ugh! So last night I splurged and bought all the parts that it could be so I can work on it and hopefully FIX it right this time. It’s never shifted perfectly since I put it in, but hopefully that’ll get corrected this weekend.

How many days Huggster...?

How did I know when I heard the little alert sound that it was gonna be you asking this question??? Lol. I was intending to post it last night but got distracted 123.45 times.

I'm was registered back in April. And the only thing I (emphasis on I) won last year was grand prize. So I could've saved a bunch of money on tix because my ticket for GP was entered with registration. I'll be there Sat, but if I don't get my transmission issues ironed out, the bronco might stay at home. I don't want to make a day trip and spend it being drug off the trails...

I really thought I'd be a lot better off this year, but as usual, we've spent it getting out of holes. The holes seem to get bigger and come more often as the years go by.

So I found the gumption to pull up the EEC Editor program on the old laptop (slow as molasses at the North Pole in winter) which was used to flash my Quarterhorse tuner card in my PCM. The tranny has always been slow to shift and soft when it did. I changed the shift points for 1-2 and 2-3 gears and my shifting issues seem to have gone away. I’m thrilled. I also ordered a BlueDriver OBD2 scanner that is supposedly able to read transmission codes on Fords and a few other brands. It’ll be here Tuesday so hopefully I can get the problem found and fixed next weekend.

Getting towed in on the first day does suck.

Heads up for everyone. Flu season is here early. I've been down for 3 days with no relief so far. Dr. said flu test was negative but that seem to happen frequently. Unfortunately I needed this time to finish the 4r70w install. Not going to get it done so won't be making OCBR this year:(

Go get your flu shots now.

Was that your radiator last year? I got towed on the last day several years ago, rear ring and pinion in the middle of Chrysler Canyon or King Cobra I don't remember which.

Yep, put radiator into the fan. Did get it fixed and made a few runs with Bosshug before the rain set in to much.

Rv space available!

I just cancelled my reservation for RV site #21. I can’t pull the fifth wheel and the Bronco. My buddy’s F150 doesn’t have trailer brakes and I don’t want him at risk. It will be back to the good old tent camping days.
