Anyone got pics of their oil dip stick tube on a 351W?

I'm installing a power brake bracket and the vaccumn booster lays right on top of the tube. I know I need to relocate it but I need ideas. I currently have Duff headers and it comes up between the #7 and #8 exhaust tubes.

Thanks,
madgyver

Be careful with this route. I knew a guy who was doing this in a car. The front sump was full of oil and showd such on the stick. The rear sump (the one that the pump sucks the oil out of) ran dry. Engine died. Next time you change you oil, pull just the rear plug and empty the rear sump, then check you oil level in the fron sump. Make sure it show low or change you pan.

note: it was a car double sump pan, not a bronco pan.

;D ;D ;D My pan dosnt have the front sump its a bronco pan with a 351W top welded on to it. All oil runs back into the bottom rear. It's not from the t bird/mustang typ with 2 sumps. It was made befor you could buy a pan to fit the bronco at that time you could get a print from duffs in Ca. and it showed how to cut the rear from a w and weld it to a bronco. ;D ;D ;D Bill  %) :p

I had to tweak the tube some to clear the booster and get it up between the headers. I also have the Duff headers but used header wrap so I'm hoping the tube does'nt get too hot. I'm not to the point where I can start my engine yet so I can't say for sure.

I've got mine routed just outside the headers on the driver's side. I would get you a picture but it is dark now and my camera sucks. My dipstick went into the oil pan with very little coaxing of course this is with a Canton Deep sump pan.

Madgyver, hope this pic will help some, I still have to fasten to head or cover. It comes up between 6 and 7 and is close to booster but does clear.
If you need another pic I can get another angle.

Thanks,
That's the location I planned to move it, between 6 & 7. The way I see it the bend will be a little sharp under #7 tube going to the pan.

Is that blood on that rag?

Ha, no its not blood on the rag, just paint. But like all EB owners I have given my share of blood for my sport.

Mad, here's where I have mine. I am using the Ford Racing pan kit for a Fox body Mustang. I had to tweak the tube a little to keep it from being too close to the brake booster but it seems to work fine and stays cool enough.

Thanks sn8k,
Did you attach the upper mount to the header bolt?

Dennis, Thanks for the pics I notice you have manual brakes.

That's where mines is at the moment. Now go and install the power brake bracket and booster. The dipstick will be in the way. And that's where I am, Looking for a new spot for it.
