pulled the trigger on a Puma 1hp 2gallon setup from ebay for $269. going to disconnect the compressor from the tanks and make a mount that can swap to my sequoia or bronco, with one tank in each. pics to come.

not sure the 2 gallon is going to work the way I wanted. the tanks are welded to the frame and to each other. I'll have to pick up some small storage tanks somewhere to remote mount.

Well since this got bumped back to the top I'll post a few of mine. Sanden 709 on Explorer bracket assembly. Saginaw P-Pump down low.

Nice setup. I kind of did the same thing with mine but used a York and incorporated the old Explorer braket on it as well. On yours, does the supply line to the pump run uphill from the resivour to the pump? A few years ago when I still had a V-belt, I didn't have the bottom of the reservoir higher than the feed line to the pump and it was starving the pump.

That pump took my 35 x 12.5's from 10 to 30psi in about a minute and a half at 6500' ele. without a tank.

I was out with friends not long ago and someone blew a bead and they were able to get it seated without a tank. It will work great for my 33x10.5's

JSmall,
I need more pictures of your engine compartment. Particularly how the hydroboost and clutch master are situated. Can you zoom out a bit?

... Ok you guys are showing some cool stuff. But I HAVE MY Half Cab rigged for farm use. Mine is not a town Bronco.. But had a 12gallon portable compressor from Lowes that the compressor went bad. So I tossed it into the bad of my Bronco .. Removed the factory pump & added a good cut off valve. & and air Spickett. I can fill it from the shop compressor. But that was only one load. So I bought from E-BAY ..a 12V pump tht said it'd put up about 150lbs. So I bought it for about 30 bucks. I had to mount it with plastic ties But it's on rubber feet. So it's working. I plumbed it in place. & ADDED another heavy duty toggle switch ..75A..
... When I Jump into the Bronco & head to the pasture I flip that toggle & I have air.. It pumping that 12gallon tank to about 100lb. on about 10 minutes run. It had never cut off pumping. I'm surprised about that.. & It's been warn but not hot. I'm surprised.
.. I also added a Harbor Freight Hose Reel W/25ft hose. I've loved that hose reel.. & I've had this setup together about a month .. & I'll bet I've used it 20 times already.
............ Love it.......... Granted not for every one but man it's sweet for me.

I will look for a different picture. The clutch MC is in the speedo cable location.

holy molly! This puma compressor is quiet. I was expecting something similar to what I get from my 120v AC oiless compressors, but was pleasantly surprised by this little thing. I can't even think of what to compare it to, it is more quiet than even my belt driven compressor in the garage. For 2-3 CFM, I couldn't be more pleased.

Of note:

It has a factory installed 50amp mega fuse. And 10ga feed wire is really at the limit. I put together an 8' extension last night with 10ga and soldered ends. I turned it off after about 2 minutes when the wire was nearly too hot to touch. I'd recommend 8ga minimum for this.

Also, I'm using SMH 50amp connectors for my hookups. Put one on the compressor, and will install others as needed for source. 1 in the back of the bronco, 1 in the back of the sequoia, one anywhere else I may need.

Since I have burned up a couple OEM Ford AC compressors (even with an oiler system inline) I decided I needed to upgrade my compressor. This is a TCCi compressor that they modify specifically for compressing air. It requires a pretty simple bracket to mount it in place of the OEM unit. I should have plenty of air now for my air horn, PTO shifter, air bags, ARB locker and filling tires....
