I know @stout22 will get to the day. My neighbor brought a Geiger Counter and we played with it at a uranium mine. o_O :ROFLMAO:

We did find the seam they were chasing. The remaining seam was fairly low grade, still interesting to see what they were chasing.

That's good country to make you feel small.
This was the trip that Sherman had been hoping to go on?

Soon, I hope soon. About to get an unpaid long "vacation" which I hope to use best by knocking out some things.

Between Blanding and Moab we stopped at Canyonlands National Park and ran Elephant Hill trail.
That was fun with the famous back-up switchbacks and narrow crack.
We made a quick stop at Newspaper Rock on our way in.
Two kids from North Alabama out West having fun!!!! Thanks for posting!!! Great Pics!!! :D :D :D

It was a quick climb up from the river and very scenic. I'm not sure what caused this traffic jam but there were quite a few jeeps in our group
We also had two Gen 6 Broncos

Now off to find some abandoned uranium mines. A couple of old miners shacks marked the spot. Time to explore some radioactive mines! o_O
A friend brought a Geiger counter and quickly found the active seam of uranium. The counts were pretty low so no-one started glowing.

that traffic jam was caused because someone in a red Ford didn't pull far enough forward 🤦‍♂️ right before that pic it was a really big trail plug

On our way to meet everyone at the start of the Flat Iron Mesa trail we stopped and visited the Trail Mater crew. My intention was to kill some time and see what they had in their store.
Apparently the person running the store called to the shop and told them "they need to come up front and see this cool Bronco".
Rory said he had an early Bronco and it was one of the few vehicles he regrets ever selling. I've heard that before.
The whole crew was great to meet.

We had 8 vehicles in our group running the Flat Iron Mesa trail. The first obstacle is named Intimidator. It is aptly named.
It's a tight turn that's a little off camber and with a drop to never never land on the driver side.

I know me doing Intimidator wrong got everyone’s blood pumping early, sorry 🤣

At the very next obstacle, I should have stopped and asked for help, I made a driving error and had to get pulled back, wasn’t going anywhere with both rear tires in the air🤣 thanks to Damon Hopper for the tug back.

The most difficult obstacle was Tilt A Whirl, I got to pull cable on that one. Thanks to Darwin Hopper for the anchor. Really wish pictures would show how steep that was, the ledges were just perfect for a double whammy. Look close there’s a winch line there 😂
