Pertronix igntion help

It started out as the vehicle having trouble idling when wheeling on saturday, but was able to adjust the timing and carb and limp it home with some nasty backfiring. So now my bronco isn't getting any spark at all from the spark plug wires or coil wire. I have narrowed it down to the igntion. The coil tests fine 1.2 ohms and 9600 ohms respectively at the pos and coil wire terminal. Based on those readings, the coil should be fine. What is the likely culprit and How do I go about testing the distributor on this ignition. I havent had to do any sort of dx with this setup since I installed it 4 years ago, so I don't really know where to start past the coil. I have the full pertronix ign-distributor, ignitor, coil and wires.

Is there a way to test it?? or if the coil tests fine, is that the definite culprit?

So i found a loose wire for the ignitor, fixed that, but I still got no spark, so I turned it over with the cap off, and low and behold, the rotor doesn't move. I pulled the distributor and realized that the gear has seperated from the shaft(pin broke) and subsequently has scored the inside of the gear and the shaft in the process. So I am going to call pertronix and see if they will warranty it, I have had the distributor for a few years, but I probably only have 2000 miles on it, so i certainly hope they will help me out. We will see....%)
