I've called Reincarnation to see if they would sell reluctor plates with 10 degree limiting slots. They will only do it if I buy a rebuilt distributor from them. I recommend you ask for a 10 degree slot if you buy one of theirs. I own a Sun distributor machine and do advance curves for my and some friends distributors. This experience has taught me the 10 degree slot is the best for street small block Ford engines. This article ;http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthread.php?22229-The-Ultimate-Duraspark-Distributor-Timing-Guide, explains why.

I know this post is a few days old, but I run Mallory Unilite distributers in all my old points equipped vehicles. Pretty much a direct wire in, no extra harnesses etc. Have never had an issue with them and have been in my vehicles since the late 80's early 90's.

No worries. Heck, we dredge up threads from years ago a lot around here!
Can you still get the Mallory stuff? I haven't looked but since MSD bought them out recently they seem to have been sort of burying the brand.
Maybe it's just the distributors themselves, but I figured the conversions would go bye-bye too.
