Powermaster Starter Sticking

I installed a used Powermaster XS I've had laying around for years, Threw and retracted fine on bench. Did fine first 3 or 4 test starts, went in inside and came back out starter is now sticking:mad: . The stater has a jumper wire from the switch post to the hot post instead of 2 wire install. Could this have any thing to do with it sticking before I tear it apart? Any other suggestions?

It certainly could. Which terminal is the wire on, I or S? What other wires are connected there?

If you have the starter wire on the I along with the brown ignition resistor bypass wire it could cause the starter to continue to run.

Big wire directly to the battery and the little wire goes to the output of the solenoid on the fender.
DO NOT USE 1 WIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!
