This was a project my dad and I bought for $600 when I was a sophomore in high school. After almost 2 years of bringing the bronco back from grave we had completed the weekend cruiser Bronco (so we thought it was done). We have learned that they are never ended projects and are always changing something on it. We had sourced a 5.0 motor out of a 91 foxbody that we were able to pick up for around $300. The motor had roughly 100k miles on it and was fine for the time being. After a couple years of weekend cruises and car shows the motor started showing signs of being tired. Last fall my dad and i started building a 306 (was originally out of a 93 5.0 fox). This past weekend we were able to find some spare time between my college exams and his work schedule to pull the old and drop in the new. We ended up ordering a new saginaw pump and replacing the old pump while we were there as well. Still not 100% complete (need to clean up some wiring and fine tune the new motor) but I thought id post up a couple photos of our winter project for my Bronco. I will try to upload photos and a video of it running in the bronco after i clean up the wiring and we get it tuned. In the mean time heres a link to a couple photos http://classicbroncos.com/photos/showphoto.php/photo/35391/cat/500/ppuser/35092

I know the feeling... I did a 72 Mach 1 right after I got out of college. took like 10 years...now it sits under a car cover neglected... all the time and money go into the Bronco.

p.s. nice lookin' ponies in the corral! :)
