Hi, .94 OR: Thanks for the link. I like this suggestion. The 3/32 J Cap just might work.

I'm thinking the holes in the J cap could be oversized once marked to make alignment a lot easier and would allow you to keep the cap tight against the edge of the ABS. Snug the bolts down to hold everything in place.

I'm going to give that J cap trim a try. So I placed an order in black anodized. Expecting delivery next Monday.

I hope it works out well. If the mounting holes are larger than the nut-sert head, it should lay down nice and flat and not have any puckers.
