Tell your buddy Carson I said he's a hell of a painter. Centari is really good/durable SS paint, but it is known to run if you try and build it up in areas. I still have a few gallons of it at my dad's bodyshop I've been looking for a use for. He uses RM two stage now.
I love when guys who THINK they know bodywork say that painting the vehicle is the easiest part of the job. They have obviously never laid a gallon and a half of paint down crossing their fingers not to have a run/crows foot/fish eye etcwith $1000 of product at stake. It's the last stage of the job and the first people lay eyes on.
Re-assembly becomes a tactical effort now. It's my least favorite (but also my favorite???) part of the resto process. I sometimes get ahead of myself which can have dire consequences in the paint chipping department.
