Well after a holiday break I'm hard at it again. Got the rest of the week off and I'm taking next week off so I should make a good bit of progress.

Ordered about $350 worth of stuff from ballistic and ruffstuff, making radius arms, long trac bar, adj coil buckets, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

My shackles and the shackle mounts were wasted, the steel bushing had worn into the shackle/leaf mounts so I knocked em off. I'm on the way to the u pull it tomorrow to get some 57" ford springs and all the hangers/shackles. I'm going to flip the shackle while I'm at it.

Also picked up a hp44 and a 31 spline 9". Th 9" has 4.56's and a spool, was gonna sell it but I think I might keep it and just run it. Should make winter driving in Ak fun!!

Onto the pics:

Man your hitting that thing hard, I would not want to do any of that without a garage. I thought this was your everyday ride? Keep us posted.

It is an everyday ride!! That's why I took next week off as well, don't want to walk to work!!

As of now I'm at the mercy of ballistic fab and ruff stuff, so lets hope they come through or I'm screwed.

Well I had a good day at the junk yard, hell even a bad day at the yard is a good day!!

Got a 3L50 geared 3rd member for my 9", anyone know what type of "L" was used in an early/mid 80's bronco? No name like detroit, had ford stampings. It's def a locker, I tried to pull one axle shaft to check the spline count, other wheel was still on the ground, no go, couldn't budge it. Jacked the other side up and they both spin the same way.

Also got some springs/hangers from a 2000 ford e250 van. Gonna pull the overloads for sure, then we'll see how she rides.

Length looks good, need a custom bumper anyway.

Gotta step up to a 2" BL, then I can move the rear hangers up a touch more amd have some body clearance for the mount. Going to start on the extended radius arms tomorrow.

Worth a dam offroad?
Of course. I hear people yelling "DAMNIT" at TracLoks all the time! ;D

Actually, they DO work, until the clutches wear out. Then they become open diffs (which also work). To fix them, you can either rebuild them with new clutch packs, or just slip in a shim (an extra clutch or washer) to tighten up the worn-out packs. This is the 8.8" version:

I got to get a move on and get it "done" so I can work some bugs out on some local wheeling trips, because I really would like to go to moab the first week of May.
