WOW so I tore into the broncos floors today, what a mess!! It looks like I will need a drivers side striker also, maybe some rockers, I dont know yet. fortunately, who ever decided to glue/rivet/weld the replacment floor pans over the exsisting actually seemed to have sealed it up pretty well and painted so it could have been worse, I guess......

Oh well good thing I have had my tetanus shot!!!

How far do you plan to take it down? Looks like you have a little work ahead of you there, well enough to keep you busy for part of the winter anyways.

Well, no farther than necessary. but I dont want to have to do this again, so floor pans for sure, strikers kick panels, front inner fenders, and repair the quarter seams. since I am going to paint, the dash will need to come apart to get sanded, and some extra holes filled.

So basically as almost as far apart as I can get it, at some point the trranny/transfercase need to come out also for a reseal, rebuild on the transmission.

But yeah I should be busy for the next long while that is for sure.

I would try to get as much stuff ordered ahead of time as possible, that has saved me in the past. I may have a hood for you if you have not replaced yours yet, I'll know for sure in a month or two.
Also have a MIG welder if you need to use it, all I ask is not to return an empty tank. I also have clamps and the what not you can use also, just let me know.

Well, after a long hiatus I got some work done today on the bronco. Finished the small patch behind the drivers side wheel well, and tore into the area from the front of the passenger side wheel well down into the foot well area, cut out the whole passenger side foot well also. Wow that is a big hole. Still need to cut out the bottom of the kick panel for a patch. Another day or so grinding and preping and I will be able to start welding in a new passenger floor.

Glad to hear about some progress, have you been able to use it in the snow recently? How is the locker working out for you?

I was trucking around every where in the snow, I threw a set of chains on the front, and went where ever I needed to go. Locker has been great, I notice it is back there, but it has not been a problem. I really need to get this thing back together so I can hit TSF, havent been back since the last time in the snow more than a year ago. Last time I even wheeled was sob. I want to get the floors done and get a new cage, I would like to have only one set of holes in the floor. But whatever I do, It needs to be ready for sob I refuse to go with no bronco. How have you guys been? Hows mexico treating you? ;D ;D
