It's been a while since I've put up any pictures, but it's been a while since I've done enough work on it to take pictures of. Between work and helping get somebody else's bronco back together (you know who you are Carl) it's been slow lately but hopefully I've collected enough parts in the down time that we can get back on it and get it finished.

We sprayed a black bedliner on the under-body of the '77 we've been putting back together and it turned out much better than the first gray one. I emailed and talked to Liner X-treme about it and they said that the dark colors are a totally different product than the lighter colors - something about the color in the sun and that the lighter colors are a urethane product. The black sprays better and has much better texture so we're going to re-shoot the top and bottom black.

Keith had made these side steps for his Bronco about a year ago but never put them on. Somehow they ended up on mine now  Now that these are welded on I hope to get the bottom re-sprayed tonight and if all goes well the tub will be on the chassis this weekend ;D

We got the new bed liner (black this time) sprayed last night on the bottom of the tub. Goal is to flip it Friday and spray the inside of the tub Friday evening and set the body on the chassis Saturday. I've already got friends lined up to help ;D

I am MUCH happier with the black liner product. The texture is very similar to RhinoLiner. It goes on very thin more like LineX. I may have thinned it just a hair too much towards the end (was trying to make sure we had enough to get it all covered well), but still very happy with the outcome. I'll make a mental note so I don't do that again in the future.

Tonight we gotta get the chassis finished - just a few odds and ends like brake line tabs (gotta weld the tabs on the upper arms and axle tube) and finish the fuel line plumbing.

Here are some pictures... more will show up this weekend I'm sure ;D

We worked on the chassis tonight in prep for the body going back on this weekend. The loose ends take forever! The brake lines to the rear and fuel lines are plumbed now. We had to weld some tabs for the brake line mounts. There's a hard line on the upper link arm and a flexible line on each end connecting it to the frame & axle. Just a few more holes to drill and taps to make for a few more mounts and it'll be ready for the chassis ;D

Here are a few shots of the brake lines and fuel lines that we got installed tonight.

Very nice! Where did you get the rear SS braided brake line at? I need to get another one as I am pushing the rear axle back as well. Keep the pics coming!

That line is a normal EB extended rear brake line - just made it work for what I needed it to do! Using the same on the front - a rear line on the front instead of a front on the front since the fittings work out better with the rear style.

you will have to buy some pre-made tabs from one of the parts houses and modify some old EB stuff to pull it off as some of the lines are indexed with a round hole (Chebby stuff) and a flat side and some are hex headed.

The body is on now, pictures to follow. Now if anyone can guess the height to the top of the windshield frame is a different story.Lets just say it wont fit under a 7 ft garage dr.

Inside Tub Bed Liner

Here are a few shots of re-doing the bed liner on the inside of the tub. I really like this black material better than the gray. We went ahead and got the striker posts and door posts so it all ties together.

Chassis Ready for Body

This is the first time the chassis has seen daylight in over a year and the futherst it has rolled in longer than that! A few more clamps on the braided lines and brake lines, cut the t-case flags for the twin-stick, and made a redneck trac-bar (2 rachet straps) since we have not done that yet. Still need to finalize and weld a new rear cross-member, but we have been waiting to see how the body fits before doing that so we don't have to cut it out AGAIN.

Also a few shots of the body ready to be set up on the chassis :D
