I took the hose lines off my power steering box and forgot which is hi pressure and which is low. Does anybody that has the 4x4x2 box know which fitting is the high-pressure and which is the low pressure return?

The port closest to the input shaft is always the return. Can't have 1500 psi right next to the seal.

Exactly.

High pressure closest to the pitman arm, return closest to the steering wheel. Any internal leaks on the high pressure side will bleed into the return line before reaching the shaft seal. No external leaks. Every style of power steering box I have seen is set up the same way. The engineers back in the day knew a little bit about what they were doing.
