I thought I have read here in the past about a company that does a kickass job of rebuilding power steering PUMPS , not the steering box.

I'll be running an Exploder serp. set up and will convert to hydroboost , so I figured I'd get the pump worked over while I'm at it.

Any help ??? Thanks ,
HD

I vote for PSC. I may be one of the few ones to have a problem with Lee's but my experience was less than pleasent.

PSC took good care of me and several of my buddies as well.

Distance could be an issue for you though as shipping costs go up.

That's what I'll be doing also Needabronco , hydroboost , I figured the pump has been laying around one place or the other for a few years now , it at least needs a good douchin' :p . I don't want to contaminate the whole system if it has a bunch of crud in it.
From what I have read so far on PS pumps , it sounds like they are pretty easy to re-do , so I may just do it myself...
Thanks for the input.

I have also been looking at doing this because my exploder PS pump leaks at the shaft when I turn it to the lock. I could just get a reman unit but if I have to pull it apart, why not upgrade it?

Another one for Lee Power Steering out of CA. They're not the cheapest, nor have the quickest turn around times, but hot damn they do a beautiful job. My PS box came back looking like brand new. All the hard parts that weren't replaced were magnafluxed to check for stress cracks. Ask any of the other PS shops if they do that...

I've gone through seven (7) PS pumps on the Bronco (HB with hydro assist) and now recently another on the crawler (full hydro). I've had them rebuilt locally twice and used some of the vendors mentioned here but Lee is who I would recommend.
