I think I know the answer to this already, but, are you doing the welding on the rod ends yourself? - I ask because I'm in the process of planning my own setup!

Ya, I am welding them myself, it should go smooth as long as they get brunt in good. I am by no means a Pro at building anything but I do know if you don't jump in to stuff like this head first then you never really know your ability. I plan on doing everything myself with some Key help.

Ok it's been since 03/12/08, 02:03 PM.

I recently decided after watching the rust grow on my Bronco all year+. I am going to back 1/2 the ass end and tube the front to hang EB skins. In with the tube work I am going to use Air Shocks or Coil-over assembly's, also on the list will be Full PSC Hydro steering for the front. My Bronco body was far to gone to try to bring it back, it left me in a depressed mode for a year not having the cash to do anything with it also. So with just about 5k for a budget I should be able to get this show on the Rocks, instead of having to ride Bi!ch in everyone's rig but my own. Wish me luck! I will picture document all this.

I am just curious as to how much you paid for the 66? I'm looking at a 68 that looks like it's in a whole lot better shape with a rebuilt 289, and hard top for $4,000. People here are telling me it's too much. The one problem I am having is it shows on the Vin plate that it was a 6cyl.

I paid $500 for mine, but it was junk. I picked it literally out of a field in Northern OK. The Frame was still in good shape, but all along I knew that I would not be rebuilding it to be road worthy. I could not salvage much more that a few pieces. The question being if $4000 is worth it, that depends on a ton of variables. Does it run and drive? Do you want it to be all original? How is the body shape? Throw up some pictures to help out in the visual aid dept.
