Forgive my terminology regarding the frame parts. I know that my Bronco was hit on the front, drivers side. But, it was really just sheet metal damage. Fender and grill crushed in some and somebody did a piss poor repair job. At least, as far as I can tell only sheet metal damage.

I am wondering about the two flanges on the frame, that the core support bolts to. On the drivers side, that flange is angled towards the rear. On the passenger side, that flange is straight out from the frame (square to the frame). Is the one on the drivers side, the flange in front of the steering gear box, suppose to be angled towards the rear? Or should it be square with the frame like the passenger side? It doesn't really look like it has been bent and the core support is basically straight across. I could take pictures and post or if someone has pics of their frame it would be helpful. I found the drawing of the frame, with measurements, but the two flanges are not included in the measurements. Though, the drawing shows both flanges square to the frame.

Thanks.

That's the way its supposed to be. I have three and all of them are the same with the driver side angled slightly to the rear.

Here's a couple of pictures showing my best frame. One of each side...

Thanks for the responses. The pics say it all. That is exactly what mine are like. I just want to make sure. I am into the critical installation of the new floor, rockers, door posts, yada, yada. I was hoping I could trust my measurements to that point.

It took me months to build up the courage to start whacking out the rusted panels. I finally felt I was ready and last week took my plasma cutter and went to work. The floor is going back in nicely and I guess it isn't as bad as I was expecting, though it looks like it will be a lot of work to get things lined up correctly.

When I can get the body back to some sort of stable condition, I can then remove it and let the soda blaster guy have at it. The truck came in such a rusted condition that I couldn't safely remove the body.

I appreaciate all of the help from this site. I hope I can return the favor moving forward.
