The low buck house brand "turbo" muffler.
Don't think you have room but Walker Quiet Flow line has some stuff. My F250 has a two 2½ in one 3 out school bus muffler that I am happy with. Giant turbo style muffler but I don't think there is enough room under a Bronco for it.

If you want quiet, do not shop performance mufflers. They are all about "tone" and letting noise pass through.

A "turbo" muffler will create a nice burble and flows well or you have the option of 40 series from flow master. They are nice and quiet but not silent.

Looking at a Super 50 flow master. Think I have room. Any experience with them?

I just went through this with my fresh 351 build. My rig was slightly too loud previous with the exhaust exiting before the passenger rear tire. I would say measure the amount of space you have under each floorboard where you are putting the mufflers and get the biggest ones you can fit in the space. I put in a 24" case Borla flow thru style and was almost disappointed how quiet it was at idle. The valve train is louder than the exhaust is, it sounds like a sewing machine. When you get on it the sound comes in but it is definitely quiet in comparison to what I had before.

I tried to post a video of it idling, but it won't work let me know if you would like me to email or text it to you.

The Flowmaster 50 series are great for the street. However, the sound is proportionate to the gas pedal. My pipes are H'd just before the mufflers with everything dumping out behind the rear wheels. I have no exhaust drone and a nice low tone while driving around town and the highway.

I think I can fit the Walker Quiet Flow in there also. Looks like maybe another good option. I will look at Borla also.

Loud. Especially with short large diameter pipe. A little better than open pipes.

70 series is the only flowmaster that is close to quiet. even then it still isn't quiet, just isn't loud.

I've got a Flowmaster 40's on mine with a 351W, dual 2.5" in with single 3" out...it's not quiet. My rig has no carpet, no bedliner, no headliner, etc, and it's not obnoxiously loud, but you have to raise your voice to talk to the person next to you over the exhaust, wind, squeaks, etc.

rcmbronc...

Nobody can help with a comparison unless they have a stroker with the muffler they are recommending.

The difference between trying to quiet a 351W and a 427 is literally NIGHT and DAY... really is.

I know, I went from a 351W to a 418W with the exact same exhaust system and I couldn't believe the huge difference in noise level...

I ended up going to great lengths to quiet it down. I cut the floors down, moved body mounts, etc so I could install 20" long mufflers (body length) compared to the 14" long ones that sounded perfect with the 351W...

Ultraflow 3" inlet, offset. http://www.dynomax.com/mufflers/ult...s/ultra-flotm-welded-offset-centered-701.html

Decent volume, most can't believe how quiet my rig is...loud, like loud when you hammer it. Pipes go out the back

Flowmaster "Delta" 50's.

Very quiet (almost too quiet). And zero highway drone.
Running dual Deltas with Duff headers and exhaust and it's almost too quiet.

Everyone needs to post what cube engine size they are running because like I posted earlier...you can't expect a 5.0 or 5.8 to sound anything at all like the OP's 427 with the same exhaust system...

Exactly, here's 2 videos of the same mufflers, bronco 302 maybe 350hp, 1 3/4 outside frame headers, 3in pipe magnaflow race mufflers dumped before tires. Race truck 438 575 HP 1 7/8 headers. 2foot of single 3.5 pipe then split to 2 3in same mufflers. Dump over rear axle

I'm in the same boat as you and I've decided ear plugs are going to be my solution.
I haven't found anything that fits with my 4 link that won't restrict the engine too much.

I think those are the exact model I'm running...not stock db level but we can talk while cruising yet my wife can hear me across a full section of farm field ( 1 mile) when she's outside when I romp on it... :)

Both my broncos have 351w's in em. Both are topless also. The 66 has flowmasters and it sounds great but its loud. On the 72 I went borlas and they're a good bit quieter. The borlas were also a bit shorter to clear the inboard shocks and stuff. The borlas are also all stainless.

Just to reiterate the more cubes equals more noise example.... I have now gone from a 418SBF to a 460SBF... I now need to bump up to a longer UltraFlow (won't fit) because of the extra cubes my rig is once again quite a bit louder than it was before.

A couple hundred HP makes all the difference in the world when you're trying to quiet it down... only mentioning this because you can't begin to compare what the same muffler will sound like or the multiple times louder it will be with 80 or 100 more cubic inches of air being pumped thru them... no comparison.

Nothing like comparing a 5.0 to a 5.8.

The Flowmaster Delta 50s or the Super 50s are both pretty quiet with a nice V8 rumble and no drone.

The Gibson Superflow are fairly quiet as well.

Both are Chambered style mufflers with NO packing to blow out over time.

I recommend stock location for tailpipe exit for not only reducing noise but no fumes in the cab as well.
