I'll add to this on my build thread. I will post up a bunch of temps from the floor, headers, heat shields, etc on a 2 hr drive on a 92 deg day. Not 102 but wow... much less heat on the floors/tunnel.
I didnt take any pics IN the cab ;( of the tunnel or floors but after 2hrs driving w/o stopping their was one 6"x6" area on the floor that was 108deg. The rest of the floor & tunnel from the seats forward (all I measured) was all 104 deg F and lower, down to 98deg F on a 93 deg day.
I am bending 1 1/4" tube to run btw my frame and rock skis for added protection to the pipe and the mufflers. The bottom of the mufflers are above the frame rail but that doesn't mean they cant get smashed.
The bottom of the exhaust pipe in the pic is 3" above the bottom of the frame rail. Pic angle is deceiving
