Rear Disc Options?

Hey guys, I was just ripping into my rear brakes and found some broken springs and general rust and stuff and was wondering how hard it would be to convert to rear discs right away and be done with it, since it's completely apart anyway. I'm running in to the city tomorrow and if I can pick up the parts, I probably will. If anyone could post the parts list, that would be great. I'm now headed over to the previous posts...

Assuming you have a small axle bearing rear, you can use the hardware from a '92 Grand Marque. This is what I used. The brackets have the same bolt pattern as the 9" small bearing. The rotors require a little work to fit. First off they need to be drilled to the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, then I had to turn about .030 out of the hole in the middle to get them to slip over my axles. Not a lot of fabrication for a disk set up.

I've also seen others use a CJ7 rotor, an S10 or Cadillac calliper, and a bracket that welds to the housing. Cost is about the same but will require welding.

What are the rotor options to fit over the axle? I found a pair that were trash in the bin at a salvage yare but could not determine what they came off. They were 5 on 5.5 this a hub large enough to fit over the 9" axle.

I picked up a set of the Lokar adaptors that let you uses a standard type cable. I then bought new cables for a 78-79 full size Bronco to get a bit more length.
