Searched awhile and couldn't find anyone doing this.. But did any one run their trans to the radiator then to a remote mounted cooling location? Pros/Cons?

I added an aux. cooler plumbed the way you’re descending. It was a 20,000GVWR capacity cooler. The problem I had was my motor had cooling issues at the time and keep the trans temp too hot, which lead to the motor unable to cool. I separated them by adding a 30,000 GVWR capacity cooler to the 20 that’s already there. This helped by keeping heat out of the radiator. And the 50,000GVWR combined coolers are markworking well to cool the C4.

Those coolers will only cool if there is adequate airflow through them.
I also have no idea where they make a GVW rating for a cooler, that really makes no sense. There is so much more to cooling than what GVW of a vehicle could be. That's probably worse than the lies they claim for CFM numbers for auxiliary cooling fans. Those are like claiming how fast a car can go my running it on jackstands, make a number, but you will never see that number with a car actually running down the road with a load on it.

I mounted a cooler under the passenger floor with a 3" air gap and a Derale fan. It stayed cool (I guess) because it worked fine for several years of stop and go traffic for 2-3k miles per year. But the fan was so loud and vibration was annoying. It would NOT survive off road. When I went 4R70W I went with one in the radiator. I have seen them underhood too but that already seems too hot but guys make it work.

I've run a derale cooler and fan mounted under the passenger floor board for 10+ years with no issues. I have an AOD with no other cooling and it's been wheeled and abused fairly well.

I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Don't over think it.
