Once I remove the bolt infront of the yoke the yoke is ready to be removed correct? I'm trying to replace the front seal on a 76

Any ideas on how to persuade a stubborn yoke to move?

Yes - it should come off with a little persuasion (hammer taps). Might need some penetrating oil behind the threads if the teeth on the spindle are rusted.

Hi, as mentioned, a few taps with a hammer should free it up. It just slides on. Mine fell right off. Good luck

once you get the yoke off, check the sealing surface. if you are changing the seal you might need to put a speedi sleeve on the yoke to get a fresh surface as i would take a bet it's got a groove worn into it.
it's part number 99155 National

X2. Those front yokes also tend to get some water inside the seal lip. It causes pitting if the shaft isn't used for a long time and that leads to grooves when it is used.
