What is the way to go about removing the rear fenders? Do you have to remove them in pieces or can you remove the whole fender as one piece. Do you have to drill out spot welds?
I tried everything; sawzall, die grinder, grinder with a cut off disc, as well as a torch. What worked best finally for me was an air hammer with a chisel bit.
I just removed one of the rear inner fenders and rear quarter panel from my sons bronco today.
Once I had the rear quarter removed it took About 1.5 hours of work to remove the inner fender. Drilled pilot holes and then used a spot weld removal drill on the top, front and back ends of the fender.
On the bottom inside the inner fender was not spot welded. It appeared to have about a half inch welds spaced about an inch apart between the inner fender and the bed floor. I used a sawszall between the fender and the floor pan. Once I cut this the inner fender came out in one piece with a few smacks with a hammer.
