Here's another one in the works that hopefully will come together one of these days. Got the idea after I had the front end left over from making the trailer. I had another one that the paint was terrible on that I decided to rob parts and put towards this.

Half cab I started on almost a year ago. Started out Wimbledon white but I screwed the paint up, repainted Bug Yellow, hope to complete soon.

Yes, it's cold outside and I've been spending a lot of time tinkering. Ordered a bunch of these kits when they first came out. Have 2 more I'm working on, when I have to wait on paint to dry gives me another one to mess with.

Calling the yellow half cab done, didn't take but a year.
Smoothed out the front gas filler and the tire carrier mounting holes, put a matching spare in the bed like a lot of half cabs carry them. Painted the grill silver to knock down the chrome a little.

Another one that I'm working on. Bought this resin body on ebay right after the kits came out and before I knew you could get a half cab conversion from Olson Brothers. It's been tossed to the side. Having parts left over from the trailer and from the hot rod bronco I decided to see if I could put something together using it. I found these tracks for sale by BNL resins. Using the axles and suspension and steering from the revel kit, plus seats and other small pieces it should come together eventually. The hood is molded in place but could be modified to open, however I chose to leave it as is and seal off the bottom of the engine compartment. The frame being molded to the floor added another layer of aggravation. Body is primer for now, it needs a lot of sanding, very rough. I added a hood riser that I had. The rest of the paint is flat black, flat camo green, and flat olive drab. going for a military look when done.

I've made a little more progress on the resin half cab with tracks. I narrowed a full size rear heavy duty step bumper, narrowed a front winch bumper and added a tall light hoop with lights to see over a snow plow. Added side rocker sliders, made a roll bar with lights. None of the revell glass will fit this cab so having to make new glass to fit. With the snow that is still predicted over the next week I may be able to finish this one. Still a lot of sanding before the body is painted, should make it a lot better but it would take forever to make it as straight and smooth as the revel bodies. Some touching up to do on the bumpers and roll bar. Been a lot of work but I'm happy so far with the way it's turning out.

Yes, I have that pic and is where the idea came from, and also why I left it as an uncut. Olson Brothers has a 1:25 scale snow plow and it just started clicking
