11k for a Bronco 2, that is where the crazy began. 1,100 maybe. Sorry to hear what happened, I would post all over Facebook.

I agree with hyghlndr that 11k for a Bronco II was at least 50% too much, if not more. It does look to be in good shape so I don’t think you lost the whole 11k, just the extra cost to rebuild the transmission. I do feel he mislead any prospective buyer by his write up, social media is a very powerful tool, spread the word.

Who pays 11k for a Bronco “2” I cant imagine even one in very low mileage and garage kept even going for maybe $3-$4k.... buyer beware....

I was thinking the same thing. Had to look up what they are going for to see what we are missing out on. Everything I see is between free and $5K. What's the rest of the story here?

Hey Mark, there is a lady over here that has one about the same color that is all original, never been restored and slick as hell. She keeps it under a cover and only asking $5k. I would be on it if it was 4wd, and I don't even like the II's.

Huh, my bad. I guess only the early and big broncos are all 4wd...and yes, here in the great white north, the 2s generally are 4wd. So the other shifter on the floor in the pix is just N and 2H?

The Bronco in the link is 4wd. The Bronco Ricky was typing about (near him) is 2wd.

The case is there, but it's gutted. The front output shaft area is capped off. Ford must've figured a gutted transfer case was cheaper than two different PNs for different driveshafts, etc.

The 2WD transfer case actually has a different BW model number. It is just a case with a shaft riding on a couple of sealed bearings.

At one time about 20 years ago I knew my Bronco IIs too well. Easy to pick out year and sometimes mid-year changes. The '89/90 are the hardest being I have to look at the A/C compressor to know which one it is. The 1st year '84 is the most unicorn of all of them, so much 1-year only stuff on them.

I wanted to make everyone aware of what happened to me in hopes that it doesn’t happen to someone else and that hopefully this guy doesn’t get anymore business.

My first course of action is to let everyone know that this is what this gentlemen did/does. If anybody has any suggestions on how to publicize this to a wider audience so nobody else makes the mistake, please advise.

Just noticed this. Dude misrepresented my 96 bronco as well. Michael Shasho is a POS. He used to go by carsandtrucksandthings on eBay. He owes me $2500. Stay away, or at the very least, do not purchase sight unseen. - He is no where near worthy of that level of trust.

I found your post by searching google today after talking to someone who buys and sells really clean FS Broncos. I warned him about this POS. then looked on eBay to see if he was still there. Did a quick search, and your post came up. DO this more often! let people know everywhere. Thats what I do. I thought about taking him to small claims, but hard to find the time to put it all together. Only takes a few seconds to post a warning.

When he failed to make things right with my purchase, I told him I'd haunt him forever. He owes me $2500, but its not about the money, never was. I told him it will cost him one way or another. I always make a point to comment on anywhere his name pops up. I rarely think about him so usually a year or two late, but his name is on the web and associated with being a POS. I just commented on two other threads he was involved in. Do the same when you have time. He's a deadbeat shuckster. Its the least we can do!

You would of been screwed even if you bought it through EBAY.

I got screwed with a fraudulent seller that closed their account after getting my money and never was able to reach a human to speak with on the phone. Just kept getting email responses to "Contact PayPal."

I never reached a human with PAYPAL either, LOL
