Self Tapping Screw Size?

Hey guys, just looking for the best recommended self tapping screw size to get my panels in alignment.
I've gone thru a lot of posts but not finding a preferred size that is strong enough to hold multiple panels.

I use these. There are a bunch of other similar options, most of them work fine.
8x3/4 screw

or these
10x1

for heavier jobs like clamps for holding lines to the frame I use these, they drill through the frame without breaking
12x1

I use screws for steel studs much smaller hole to fill and extremely sharp so drive in easily pluss I have a drywall gun to drive them.
