I have 8 shocks that came with a lift that I bought from one of our vendors several years ago. I have only put about 10,000 road miles on her since. I will take her off road at times, but nothing extreme by any means and she has been in the mud several times as well. Today I was doing some work and just happened to pull one of the rear shocks off and compress it to see how it was. To my surprise, water came pouring out. I pulled the other one off and it stays compressed. My question is, is this to be expected after my driving habits and 10,000 miles?

Not from your driving habits... from $30 shocks. Get a good set of shocks and don't look back. Oh, and run only 1 per corner.
