Since Cody already went off topic about the millennials comment I’ll also give my two cents. I’m a millennial and I fight that stupid stigma you have every single day at work. Went to a technical high school graduated with 2 years experience as a machinist and 3 full time job offers. Took a whopping 4 days off after graduation and have worked full time mostly 45-60 hour weeks ever since. (8years ago now). Bought my own house at 19, first brand new car at 24, and soley support my family of 4. So please don’t use the word “all” when describing lazy millennials. I would even hesitate to use the word “most”. It’s not like the generations before us left a lovely economy and job market for us to step into. “Entry level” positions requiring 2-5 years experience and only paying $15/hr at best. I’m now in charge of 6 guys and 3 huge CNC machines and I agree it’s hard to find people to work but it’s hard to find any aged people to work their birthdate doesn’t seem to matter. To the op I apologize for the rant. The only dealing I have ever had with BC Broncos was buying a power steering hose which arrived timely and correct and then last summer I contacted them to purchase one of their toll ages but they said they had no one to make them and didn’t know when they would be able to supply it again.

Hi millennial here, I was a welder for a while. Got sick of making two dollars over minimum wage for skilled labor. So I finished my degree and work for the state government now, and get paid twice as much to work in an air conditioned office. the welding industry is the problem not the workers, a lot of people are leaving the industry because the only way to make a real living is to work in the oil fields.

Exactly my point. Why be a welder when the pay is not there?

Millenials are the best educated demographic in US history. So no one is becoming a welder. Getting things welded and fabricated becomes more expensive and the cost is passed on. Or welded items are no longer cost efficient to build. Just read that WH stainless windshield frame is not available and never will be again since they cannot find someone to fabricate it.

X2! ;D

On the millennials comment, as a millennial myself I will agree that many don't understand the world outside of what they see on social media, and have no interest in learning a skilled trade. I turn wrenches, weld, and machine for a living as a multi-craft maintenance mechanic so I don't fit into that category.

That brings me to this question for all those who complain about millennials: Who raised them and gave them their values? ;)

I'll join in on the OT rant.
This was coming since the late 1970s and early 1980s, that is when the shift to 'You need a degree' started.
Simple as this; skilled labor is seen much the same as unskilled labor and paid accordingly.

To the generations before mine a machinist was a solid middle class job, now you are working poor.

I have not done much business with BC lately. But in the early 2000's when I was building my first rock crawler bronco I did a lot of business with them and it was all positive Chuck was real helpful as was all the staff at BCB. I later meet Jason and he was very nice and knowledgeable. I really like them and they have some good parts. I have made a shift to more original builds and have not done much with them lately. I wish they had a catalog with there parts listed and pictures ;D I like catalog's I am a bit old school though. With all this said communication is key and there is always TWO sides to every story.

I've spent a couple grand with bcb, everything I've ever ordered show up on time, complete, and correct to Ak. I've called looking for info on something they used to carry, the lady who answered took a message for Jason. He called me back a few minutes later and helped me try to figure out where to go. He even called later to touch base.

If you have had a good experience with BCB, congratulations! you deserve it. If a vendor can't bat over 90% in filling orders correctly and on time they need to seriously examine their operation.
When problems do develop weather it is their fault, their suppliers fault, the shippers fault, or even the customers fault they need to COMMUNICATE!
I have run a business for over 40 years and learned that word of mouth is your best friend or worst enemy. If my business is leaving even a few customers with a bad taste I need to know about it and do something about it.
I think most members here are rooting for BCB to become a go to vendor that is on time, conscientious, and communicates when things don't go as expected.

Bcb

Have bought several orders through BC and spoke with Chuck once with install help. Some people are super negative and there’s one in particular. I believe BC would make it right if there was an issue and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy something from them. That’s just me, hope this helps.

I've had both good and bad service from them. I used to get pissed at them for their crafty excuses and delay tactics. Now I've learned not to take BCB seriously as a vendor. If they have what I need on the shelf & it arrives quickly I'll think I got a rare break. If not it'll be back ordered, a long wait time with no communication, along with transparent excuses and diverted blame. In the latter I figure it's normal BCB service.
These threads have been popping up with predictable frequency for years with no detectable improvement in their methods, so my assumption is BCB is happy with their business model and don't view 'customer satisfaction' as a necessity to their continued business survival. I don't know many businesses who can successfully ignore such continued customer dissatisfaction, but if that's their belief it's theirs to own, along with the consequences. I see it as lost potential... what they are versus what they could be...
I don't buy from them much, but when I do I've learned to manage my expectations. I assume i'll be charged up front with assurances of quick delivery, then there will be delays in the order, it won't be their fault, it'll be Vintage Air or their spring vendor or etc etc. And it'll finally show up in a few months.

BCB reminds me of the waitress in the movie "Hell or High Water"..

Their soft top is top notch!! I think things changed since Chuck is not mainly involved.

I was thinking Chuck either took a step back or didn't he sell the business and retire?

I've ordered from the in the past (it's been 2 years ago) and had no issues.

Bewildered Millennials who blame their parents or their parents' economy are the same ones who give Millennials a bad reputation.
My dad was born during the great depression. His parents rode it out and somehow fed their family and still kept their values. Followed by the hardship of WWII.
They were not pussies who whined about opportunity or being victims. They sucked it up and realized early they and they alone were masters of their own destiny.

I ordered their PS hydroboost filter last week and then saw this thread a few days later. It scared me. So I called them. It had been about 4 days and I had not heard anything. When I called they were very nice but "the right person wasn't there and a piece of the filter wasn't in stock." They would "call me back." Now I was REALLY worried...

I called the next day and the same lady, apologized and reported they would be able to drive (locally) to get the missing piece and ship it the next day.

True to their word, the next day (yesterday) they sent me an email with the tracking number.

I do not have a dog in this fight... I just wanted to give real time info on my experience.

If you've ever visited BCB's shop, you know they don't keep much in stock. Most of their items are farmed out which takes time because they can't afford the money or space to stock items.

This seems like the best advice. I Bought a bunch of stuff from Johns mustangs back in the 90’s. They had a lot of great stuff. They were the first company selling a t-5 5 speed conversion kit for early mustangs and they made a really cool billet dual master cylinder. Unfortunately they started having issues getting parts to people and ended up going bankrupt. A lot of people lost a lot of money and were understandably pissed about it. I was concerned that was what I was seeing here. I hope not. I am going to keep waiting for my dash for the time being since no one else sells what I want. But I think I will go with Duff for the exhaust.

As I stated above I think this is mostly to do with the Coyote demand. Almost everything I have ordered came from another location so yes they don't stock much. I have purchased well above 10K with them this year and the only part on continuous back order is my steering column. I had one major return, i ordered their 23 gallon tank and it was really banged up and they took it back and gave me full credit.
I just think if you are looking for a non Coyote part that you need asap there are lager vendors equipped to handle it better. I use WH for everything I can because I know I will get is fast, I use BC exclusively for my Coyote parts this way I know everything will work together, and I am fine with the back orders there due to supply and demand.
