How about BFG KO2

A classic looking but still very modern tread.
Excellent in the rain.
Excellent in the sand.
Very quiet on the highway.
Somewhat respectable results in the mud.

I have Toyo Open Country A/T's on my Yukon Denali. They are great tires. That's what I will put on my EB when the time comes.

It's got BF Goodrich T/A's on it now. I'll take a look at the KO2's. Wait - it may be the same tire!

The tires of today are so far superior to the tires of yester-year.

My 2 cents: When talking about stock-size tires, in many ways its personal perference and whats readily available at your local tire store. I like to build relationships w/ local business' and then use the same store/people for years.....

The new tires you put on this old Bronco will dry-rot and need changed again at some point in the future, before you ever wear them out anyway.

Toyo's are excellent tires, Disovery Coopers are great, BFG makes great tires, and the list goes on...

I have the Toyos on my Super Duty, I like them a lot. Very quiet, look good and seem to be wearing well.

I have the 295x65x20 Toyo AT2s on my Superduty and the 265x70x17s on my 76 Bronco.

These are my favorite All Terrain Tire. Wear even and Long lasting, look great and are pretty quiet on the street.

I've got the Toyo's on my F350 for over 15,000 miles and really like them. Not too bad for road noise at 75'ish MPH towing and been good off highway on gravel, some sandy hay fields, loose freshly worked fields, etc. (We are a farm equipment distributor). Great in the rain and snow.

Mine are the 35x12.50x20 size and m+s weight raising. I haven't tried the softer side-walled sizes yet but they will be on the top of my list if I consider an AT tire for the EB and anything 4x4. We like them so much on the F350's that we are running them on five of our fleet trucks that mix off highway and pavement driving. Hold up the best we have seen yet. Usually get 40,000 + plus out of each set towing 14,000 pound loads every day (other tires have averaged around 30,000 miles with what we put them through).

I have them in a 17" size on my EB. I probably have about 10K miles on them now - they've been wearing like iron. Unfortunately they're load range E so the sidewalls are stiff.

I have had a few sets of Toyos myself, but prefer the BFG's on the Bronco. They just seem to work better to me for some reason. I just put a set of the KO2's on my F350 also. I like them so far...!
I do think the Toyos last longer though.

I have the Toyo AT II's on my wifes FJ and hate them, the nylon belt takes set over night so it has wheel shimmy and vibrations for about the 1st 10 miles until they get warm and round. I'm bought them in a pinch, had have tires right then and had to buy what was in stock, where i was at..... I'll be going back to BFG or Coopers for the next set. BFG/Michelin make the roundest tires due to their molding process.

All that being said, the tires have been great and on an EB the morning vibrations would probably never be noticed. The FJ is very sensitive to any tire/wheel vibrations.
