I can't argue the overpriced products for quieting sound.
I bought a 5 gallon of liquid stuff in about 2004 and have used it on several vehicles, my Bronco is on the list someday.
I also applied it on the back of the bi-fold doors of my laundry closet. Knocked the sound down quite a bit. Black in color, but since the door fold shut when open, you never see it anyway.

I started rebuilding top by welding in a spiderweb support using 1/2” square tubing. Then put in dynomat. Then 1” insulation. Then 1/4” plywood custom headlined with auto headliner felt. Did roof, sides, visor area. It’s much more quiet and looks nice.

@DirtDonk Sorry for the delay. I am on the road. I used 1/2" plywood strips on the back of the completed side pieces (fabric wrapped on 1/4" ply and stappled). The 1/2" pieces make the thickness perfect for the depth of the areas that surround the glass frames. I used 2" velcro strips to attach the pieces to the sides. They can all be easily removed anytime but are very secure and remain in place. I used cardboard as templates to determine the four pieces (front, back, top, bottom).

That’s fantastic. Thanks for the details.
Sorry I actually missed your response, but glad I just decided to go back further in my notifications.

Do you have a thread anywhere showing how you did the whole headliner and sides? This is really nice!
