What were the stock wheel & tire sizes offered on the Early Bronco? I am restoring my '69 and would like to keep as close to stock size as I can.

In that softbound book, "Ford Bronco 4x4 Performance Portfolio," there are reprints of magazine road tests from back in the day.

The two articles dated 1969 don't list tire specs, but a thorough road test from 1971 show tire sizes as:

Standard: E78-15
Optional: Too numerous to list

Wheels are 15x5.5

You might check on the Coker Tire web site for a translation of E78-15 to modern sizes.

My '74 was built with G78-15's. This pic is from the '72 dealer price book.

31x9.5, depending on the brand you'll go +/- a few tenths of an inch on size. Maybe a 33x9.5, again depending on brand.

I've got a set of 31x10.5s on mine right now and it hasn't moved since I put them on due to clearance issues on the rear. I'm hoping a 1" body lift and new body mounts will let me drive it on the street without any issues until I can get around to a suspension lift.
