Switching to AOD from C4, what am I missing?

I'm changing out motor (351W for a crate 351W) and C4 for AOD. I'm prepared/expect for mating, crossmember work and new driveline lengths. I watched a YouTube video this morning that mentioned a problem with having new AOD be taller than the old. This forced them to install a body lift so the T-Case was not against the floor of the body. Is this for sure? I have stock level body pucks that are about 1 year old, so they aren't rusted old squatty originals. I would rather stay the same but if I must, I would like to do while waiting for parts. Any experience with this? Any other pitfalls?

Not a AOD but my M5R2 with one inch BL is 1/2 inch off the floor brace. With the added length the t-case is right under the brace. That's the limiting factor not the floor.so I say 1inch BL really helps to keep things at the 3.5 degrees of engine tilt I recorded before I took my old 3 speed out
