it still looks like that, lol. that is a entirely new body/frame. I am doin a full resto on the new body and then giving my brother the old body and frame once i swap everything over. i was goin to turn it into a crawler but i really don't have the space and i have another truck awaiting resto as well. before i get balls deep in three builds i should probably finish the two i have. if i didn't post it before. the old body had some rust issues, also had more fiberglass parts then i thought. Yes i probably could've fixed the body i had slowly but considering its my daily driver as well at the moment when i'm home we started down the path of a new tub. My original plan was to keep the old one and then strip that down and build it as a crawler once i swapped everything over into the new nice tub/body. They wife wasn't too happy about that considering i have a 64 chevy C10 that was my first truck sitting half assembled in our driveway. My brother was getting jealous and wanted a project so since he has the room and he's my brother, i'm goin to give him the other body and frame so he can build himself one. anyways stand by for more pics of the body getting painted and prepped. now onto finding the parts i need before i do the swap.

steering box bracket
shock hoops at least though i may just go with a entirely new suspensin setup... 4 link?
i need to get my top prepped and painted sometime this summer
probably pick up new beadlocks and tires

and who knows what else i get along the way.

Looks great. I am sure you will be happy with the work. Atherton's shop does some great work.

Cheers,
Steve

he really has been awesome this whole project, we've hit some speedbumps but has been awesome every bit of the way.

now on to deciding what route to go with new suspension, i have to get new shock hoops and wanted to go 4 link eventually anyways.

anyone used the james duff 4-link? always heard their stuff is top notch any feedback?

otherwise may have to hit up WCB to do some suspension work.

updating for the sake of updating, the stack O parts waiting for me to get back from overseas begins thanx for the awesome vendors on this site (thanx WH, and WCB)

hood pins, shocks and hinges
removable stainless door hinges
front shock hoops (west coast Bronco's all the way :D)
steering box bracket

also have a complete edelbrock top end (heads, cams, intake, carb) coming goin to refresh this beast at the same time.

next is centech and a best top and some flares

then the million and half pieces of gaskets, doors parts, handles, lenses, and everything else that connects to my freshly painted tub.

ok finally back from my 8 month deployment, my stereo was left on by my brother a month after i left so my battery was toast and my truck hadn't been started in 6 months. today went and got a new red top, couple quarts of oil and she started right up. although now i'm itching to dig into the ol girl. hopefully get some time this weekend to do the brakes and a few other needed things. anyways its a good day when your truck just starts right up after 6 months of sitting.

nope, still collecting parts, waiting on a couple checks for sold stuff, and a per diem check hoping to start this adventure in the next 4-6 weeks. still need to get a soft top, centech harness, warflares, WCB rear shock mount, WCB radius arms, and just about every door, tailgate handle, window actuator, etc. trust me i'll post plenty of pics once we start tear down and build up.

my truck currently still sits like in the original post in the 76 body/frame. will most likely start some bodywork on that soon as well while i'm driving it.
