a few months back i posted my 77 project for sale here on CB. since then i have decided to keep and build it. first things first, i have a quality rotisserie and my plans are to build a body jig so i can move the body over to the rotisserie and work on it. looking to build one out of steel and hoping some members here have gone through this already and can share some designs, drawings and measurements.
also a few questions for all the seasoned bronco body rebuilders here. my plan is to build the body out from the B pillars forward retaining the original rad support and possibly both drivers and passengers wheel tubs. the plan is to media blast the tub at some point and i have a few questions in mind as to when i should do this.
1. build/weld the new sheet metal body parts while it is still on the frame, move it to the rotisserie then send it for media blasting
2. remove the remaining body from the frame, set the rear tub on the rotisserie jig then take it to get media blasted
one should also ask which is a better way to build the front clip/body. on a rotisserie or should this be done on the frame of the vehicle?
