Nyles, didn't you tell me 3 or 4 days ago in my fuel injector thread that I need to do my EFI swap cause you had just finished your EFI swap and that I needed to do mine? LOL.

Long as you dont stick 4 bad injectors in it youll love it!

That ain't good. Put an ohmmeter on them and see if the coil is ok. Should be about 14 ohms. If the coil is ok try blowing some air through them (40 psi) when you energize them.

I did buy a set of used injectors a few years ago that ohmed good but wouldn't open even after soaking for months. I think the pintles got welded to the injector bodies somehow. Waste of money.

how long has it been since you last put fuel in it before you did the swap. if it has been a long time the fuel that was sitting in the tank is way bad. it more than likely is fuel with ethanol in it. if so it is phase seperating and more than likely corroding the crap out of the fuel tank. drop your tank and have your tank professionally cleaned. the ethanol is also absorbing the moisture in the air. this is the reason for the fuel changing color. i would not run your engine until you clean out the entire system and change all the filters. i see this all the time being in the marine business. when you removed the little filters in your old injectors did you find a whitish to brown powder in them. if so it is the ethanol. i see this crap everyday. todays fuel has a shelf life of about 3 months before it starts turning and losing octane. unless you treat it with some stabilizer. something to look at before you ruin another set of injectors which is what will happen for sure.

Now for what yall wanna hear, running like brand new! however we have a problem.......
fired it up enjoyed the great running(best its ran yet) fuel pressure was fine was slowly dropping before the crankin, still running like a stang, well I turn it off to check the oil hear clicky clicky of a injector with the key off????
WTH.......fire it back up turn it off clicky clicky on the 5-8 bank......slowly fades away and stops...just fer WTH ...I do it again same clicky clicky fades away??????

Is EEC shot? In my peabody mind I dont see any other way the inj could still be firing if it aint the damn box!

are you sure all your power connections are hooked correct. and your grounds are good. how long do they stay clicking for. is there maybe something that could be back feeding or holding power like a electric motor. i know it sounds crazy but at this point anything is possible but i would think it would keep all of them firing. but it does sound like you have a bad injector driver in the ecm. you say you are using the rjm harness do you have the small power lead hooked in the right spot.

I dont hear too good and sometimes only what I want to, but I know what inj sounds like!

My guess is you are hearing a rocker tap on a valve as it winds down.
If the fuel is orange in the fuel rail, it could be rusty inside. I had that problem and the rust was getting into injectors causing them to stick open ( sound familiar?)

BTW, if you unplug the MAF the ECU will fall back to its old speed density programing ( and estimate the manifold pressure), so since the ECU hasn't had a chance to learn this engine, it isn't surprising that it idles better and smoother without the MAF ( will probably run kind of funky, but will idle great)
