I used to lurk everyday and occasionally post. Then came marriage and kids and there went the expendable cash and time. My frame-up project stalled and my daily driver’s motor blew up. I managed to drop in a donor motor from a 60s mustang but have yet to get it running. Good news is my neighbor retired and he pushes me almost everyday to get working on them again. We’ll see what 2023 brings. Right now, we’re in contract negations at work and once the uncertainty of this is over (strike authorization vote opened two days ago) I’ll be confident in spending on the Broncos again.

Admittedly, some of the interesting posts and ingenuity in those posts has fallen by the wayside as our Bronco values have increased and cash becomes a large barrier to entry to these old beauties.

I used to be in the 4x4 Wheeling group, then I restored mine and now I baby it a little more. Still like to go off-road just a bit more mindful of scratching it. In some ways I liked having the old beater because I didn’t worry about it then. You all know what that means…I need another one.

This website used to be a hot bed of Broncoism. I was once here as "Elan" as I had a garage full of Lotus Elans along with Broncos. Now? all gone and the prices of the old tinny Broncos have gone stupid expensive, like real estate. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of "stock" Broncos but will not pay stupid money for them. It's a vehicle, not life support.
I also see some of the folks that have been here for years are still around.

Greetings to the hanger oners'

Elan...oh' I mean Scoutingranch
And I thought Rob ran you off😄🤣

I have not posted in like months. Still the best site. I’d like to come back, mainly because my project is stalled. Work, extended family, health issues, and time have pretty much stopped me cold at 6 years of wrenching. I’ve never heard it run, but it will turnover. Electrical issues have been a stumbling block. I’m so customized that it’s hard to fix things I had to design due to previous owner’s direction or my lack of foresight. Life has gotten busy, I’d like it to slow down a bit.
