Throttle cable issues

I have a transplant inline 6 200 in my 68. I recently replaced the carb which was some early 80s emissions nightmare carb. I went with a reman. YF from holley. I installed the carb and now I'm having issues with the throttle cable. It sticks and the spring on the carb isn't enough to return the accelerator pedal to idle. I think I just have a bad cable.

Does anyone know a good source for a replacement throttle cable for a 200 straight 6?

Also, the bracket that supports the cable prior to the carb. aligned with the old carb and not the new. Does any manufacturer make these brackets to align with different carbs?

Install an external spring if nothing else is found...I have had to modifye/make brackets and throttle levers on anything I have run over the years...not much to it. My curent setup uses a BCB EFI cable, with a Qjet turned around backwards, so I would not have to return to a linkage style throttle setup...Works great on hills..

When you get this far from stock INNOVATE is the word. Check the cable for impossible bends/angles that would bind up the best of cables. Heavier spring or straighter shot with the cable is your best bet.

Holley or edlebrock section in any autoparts store....Lowes, Ace etc always has good selections of springs. You dont want anything too tight. Heres what I have
