Yup tread is fully separated from the guts, nasty stuff. The first one that blew all that was left was the beads, luckily just some rash on the rim so it was re-runable. I agree with the luck/looked after, we were cruising right around 50 most of the time so no problemos there but would have sucked on a grade. The double axle really makes it stable when loosing a tire.
I too had thought of the Bakerfield Hillbillys...Glad you made it that is a lonely feeling when you hear the pop ...So where is Bakersfield from SanDeigo ..My Parents lived there in WWII ...And we now have son and family in Deigo/TJ..

Just getting out of the rain mainly, wife got a nice new job/raise, I stay home with my 3 boys. SD is 3-5 hrs south depending on traffic.
