OP,
So sorry about your Bronco, good job on keeping it upright!
I don't know how somebody could not see it on a sunny, not a cloud in the sky day.

Since the tire took the brunt of the force, make sure the rear axle didn't get bent.

And, as said above, nice job keeping it together. Watching the video it makes you wonder what that driver was doing to take off from a standstill & hit a moving vehicle like that.

Been there. Done that. I was rear-ended. At the time, my Bronco had some really sturdy squared tube bumpers. Literally a metal square beam for a bumper. Long story short, dude's BMV passenger fender and bumber were gone. My bumper just had a scratch.

Hey sabeutel, nice save with the Bronco.....NASCAR like. Thanks for posting the picture, you have a nice one there for sure, eye catching for sure. Beautiful dog too! Question for you....Are those Alcoa built forged aluminum Mickey Thompson wheels? Thanks!

Like others have said, had to be texting or something. Clear day, slow traffic, no obvious excuses. I hope the Broncos isn't too bad.

I was on the road with my '70, going about 25 when I took a hit on the back quarter driver side. It doesn't look too bad, but the area behind the back wheel is crushed in, also the rim is marked up as the tire took a big brunt of the force. The hit changed the direction of the Bronco and I went up and over a center divider at about 25 mph, across traffic and into another curb (thankfully no cars were coming).

Thoughts on what to look for with such a hit and also going over a curb? Possible axle crack? Gas tank (no leaks)? frame? bushings? Exhaust system?
I will be taking it in. Just checking for issues that y'all think I need to be sure to check.
Thanks

Same color my '71 is... Uh, I mean used to be. It's a bit faded now after 51 years!
Original is a nice bragging right, but when it looked old 45 years ago and needed a repaint, the "original" part loses some of it's luster.
Literally!

Beautiful rig. How goes the process?

Glad you are okay, but what a pain in the butt. So sorry.

RustyTruck mentioned the crab walking. Yeah, make sure you check the rear 9" housing itself. I'm sure it got bent. It doesn't take much to tweak the tubes. Especially if it took out springs, perches, hangers, etc. which it sure sounded like. Ouch.
