Torque converter and flexplate specs?

I was looking on Summit to order a new torque converter for the '76 I'm picking up next week (needs an engine and torque converter) and they don't list any TCs under the '76 Bronco. Additionally, they have countless flexplates- 157-tooth, 164 tooth, internal balance, external balance...

Can someone please help me to understand specifically which flexplate I'll need and maybe make a recommendation on a converter?

Thanks!
Woodrow

(Just to clarify; I'm not actually going to buy any parts for the truck until I have it home. I'm simply getting my ducks in a row so that once it's home it won't take long to get it going again.)

If it's the stock Bronco C4 it will need a 164 tooth flexplate. Some had oddball 10.5" converter bolt patterns but if you're replacing both flexplate and converter at the same time just look for the 11 7/16" bolt pattern on both.

If the torque converter is bad, I would go ahead and at a minimum pull the valve body out and clean it and everything you can out. Ideally I'd suggest you go ahead and rebuild the trans for the safest most reliable option. Torque converters generally do nasty things to transmissions when they go bad, assuming there are parts floating around.... Might save you from pulling the trans out in the near future and rebuilding the trans and replacing the torque converter again....

The truck doesn't have an engine or torque converter at all. The guy pulled the motor to rebuild it, left the TC bolted on, then sold the truck to the gentleman from whom I'm purchasing it but didn't give him the engine or TC.
I'm going to look at rebuilding the C4, but when it comes down to it I want to just throw it together ASAP to make sure it actually runs/drives before I go dropping cash on other stuff. Then again, if the trans is fried and pumping random crap throughout the system I don't want to burn up my new converter...
