I believe (finger crossed) that I have narrowed down where the transmission fluid on my garage floor is coming from. Seems like the gasket between the C4 and D20 adaptor is leaking. My goal is to remove the D20 and adaptor all in one shot and then replace the gasket between the C4 and adaptor and then reboot up the entire assembly. At this point I do not plan to do anything else.
I have read as many threads as I can find but don’t have a good understanding if I remove the D20 and adaptor together, will I have to worry about and bearings or seals or other items. Also do I need to ensure it is in first gear.
Any insight or words of wisdom would be appreciated. I also tried to find a video of this removal and was not able to locate so if you know where one is, please share.
