Transmission mounting bracket...

Just got the new frame. It did not come with welded transmission cross member brackets.
I believe the old brackets were welded on the frame which was recycled. The new frame comes
with four bolt holes for a new bracket to be mounted. I've been looking around and can't find
a bracket to mount my original cross member. Do they still make them or will I have to make
my own?
Thanks,
Bill

Ask if someone has the "L" brackets used here, parts wanted section. I have made my own when doing a 4R70W install. 4" angle iron 3/16" or 1/4" I believe...

I have never looked to see if anyone re-pops them or makes something that does the same job.

Tom's seems to still have used parts available, check with them...

Randy at Driven Auto Parts in Phoenix has a lot of that kind of stuff too. As does Nick and Northeast Bronco Specialists (I think they're called?)? Or Northeast Classic Parts?
They're on here a lot, so I should remember!
And since Jeff's is smack dab in the rust belt, they have a lot of reproduction sheet metal and frame "appendages" that others don't always have. Including us...

Oh, and those were not normally welded in place. The four bolt holes were factory type mounting. I removed mine not long ago when 904Bronco was looking for a transfer case.
They came right off too, so no weld in my case.
It's very possible that yours had been welded by a PO, or perhaps some got welded at the factory in addition to the bolts.

The factory transmission crossmember is 3-pieces. All bolted on and together. Never seen one welded unless someone was doing modifications (transmission relocation) or getting around broken bolt heads going into the frame.

Yes, post in the wanted section as many people have removed the original for conversions. I for example have all three pieces sitting in my parts pile from when I did the NV3550 conversion two decades ago.
