Is there a way to drain the oil on a standard 3 speed transmission? I have a 70 with the original 3 on the tree and was going to change the transmission oil, problably something that should be done every 30 years or so but can't seem to find a drain plug.

30 years is fine, but better change at 40 years.

Where the transmission bolts to the transfer case adaptor there are 5 bolts. Remove the bottom one. It is drilled all the way into the oil.
