A Little help please. I am switching to disk on my D44. I got most of the parts however I am having trouble finding some. The dealers and the parts house dont have them, at least not in stock. I need all the parts that go inside the hub. I have the seal and the bearings, thats it. It is a chevy converion hub. Nuts, springs, clips, ect. Does any one out there have a good source for these hub parts. Is there a hub kit out there.
Thanks for any info.

as far as the nut and washer kit, napa has them. Unless you find someone with old hub parts lying around you may be better off buying a set of milemarkers.

I had thought 'Warn' made a replacement kit for the locking hubs

You can get Mile Makers from http://bcbroncos.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=24_61&products_id=252

http://www.warn.com/truck/hubs/hubs.shtml

NAPA may have some of the other stuff in stock
I made the mistake of using those Milemarker hubs. (They are garbage) They lasted less than 2 hours before the first one sheared the hub gear and took my front Detroit Locker with it. (And no I wasn't wheeling very hard at the time) That was Friday night. (I put the hubs on a couple of days earlier) On Sunday the other hub shattered when I was backing up on some slick grass which took about 45 minutes to dig out because it expanded against the wheel hub splines. I've heard good things about the Milemarker SS hubs http://bcbroncos.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=24_61&products_id=253 but that is not what those are in your link. I returned them and exchanged them for a set of Warn Premium hubs which I know I can make work even if I have to swap the spring inside them to permanently lock them in.

BTW, I'm surprised that Chuck is even selling these.

Do you have your old hubs? If so then they will work. If not then the same hub is pretty common on a large variety of 4WD's from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. A quick trip to the wrecking yard should turn up a usable set or a set of new Warn Premium hubs usually sells for about $85 at most parts stores.

As saddleup posted use your old hub parts thats pretty much what I used on my disc conversion although I did mix and match parts that were in better condition.

Thanks for the help, I dont have any old hubs to steal parts from. This is all new stuff. The old hubs are on the D30 that came out of the truck. I am going to keep that front end in one piece. I dound the pieces that go on the axle before the spindle is bolted up. I dont know if the fasteners that join the spindle to the knuckle are suposed to be bolts or studs and nuts. Also this chevy conversion has a backing plate that is the mount for the brake assy. This plate polts to the spindle too. So I will be needing longer bolts anyway. I can handle that. For some reason I thought that the locking hub assy. didn't include the spring and clips ect. So I guess I was looking for pieces that come with the hubs. I am going to buy new hubs so I am all set. I think I will buy the Warn Premium hubs.
Thanks
