Just wondering if anybody knows of a fix for my EB, when starting it cold it takes longer then it should turning over before it will fire.
Specs are 1970 with 302, Edelbrock carb, headers. To me it seems like it may not be getting fuel, any advice?

Check the float level I've seen several edelbrocks That had low float levels from normal use(seems the floats bounce around and the fuel level lowers) and were hard to start when cold. Also check the choke setting to ensure its correct.

What is your starting procedure? I pump my pedal three times and then hit the key and it fires up almost every time unless its been sitting for a few weeks, then it takes longer.

Also noticed that putting in a new fuel filter (the one on the carb) seemed to help.

Are you running an electric fuel pump?

I tried to pump the gas 3 times then start, it fired quick, I hit the gas then it stalled, I tried again and it just turned over, I waited about 15 minutes and it fired right up, any suggestions? Also the choke is Not hooked up. Probably a silly question but how do I check the float?
