I'm running it in mine but in the rear and I agree with the other guy, it is tight. Had fun with it in the snow earlier in January. You will be pleased.

one more trutrac-a bit different

All good comments on your trutrac question. I ran one back in the mid 90's and enjoyed it also. However, it is NOT a Detroit locker. There is a bit of skill required mainly from practice learing how to apply the brakes as you climb an obsticle to get it to fully engage. I replaced mine after a few trail runs. For a rig seeing mainly street driving and a little off road without many chal. they are great. You will be frustrated if you intend to use it as a true locker...ie depending on the trail difficulty you will run.

I've also read that it works best with an Auto, so like kb6677 said, you can apply your brakes as your climbing if you start to slip.. This "tricks" the locker into "locking" both wheels instead of letting one slip.

yet to be determined
I am on the fence between a power lock and a true trac. I am running an auto, but have 36" Iroks, wasn't sure how well it locked up. I am not planning on running in the rocks, just wanted a little bit better trail performance. I live in a snowy area as well and wanted it to be more even tempered than a locking diff.

I am running one in my Bronco and my Pick-up. Never had any problems, and it's been pretty abused.
