Tuffy Center Console install

For all of you that have installed a Tuffy Center Console, have you used the bracket that goes on the bottom at the back of it? I know it's to help clear the seat belts, but I don't really like the angle it puts the console on.

What have you guys done?

That bracket that came with it is for a heep. They sell an early bronco bracket but it is nothing more than three 1" spacers with longer bolts. You can buy all the necessary equipment at home depot and not have to worry about shipping and such.

I just drilled holes and bolted it in. The bracket ended up in my trash bin.

I didn't use the bracket either, although mine just made it into a pile in my garage. Wish I could toss stuff like 72bronco. My garage would be a lot cleaner. ;)

If you don't have seat belts in the way then yes you can just bolt it to the floor. In my truck though I have the Tom's three point shoulder belts and BMW Recaro seats so with the narrower space between the seats I had an issue with seat belt bolts.

I picked up some 2" spacers from the hardware store, and was able to scoot the console a little bit more forward (armrest in the right position was a priority). It clears everything, and has been that way for 6 or 7 years now.
