I recently put on a Grant wheel. While installing it you take the turn signal canceling cam off the old one, and put it on the new one. After adjusting some other stuff I had to remove the wheel again to recenter it and found the cam had slipped off the small spot where it was supposed to be and had jammed up in the column. When I put it back together I just left the cam out so it doesn't get jammed up again and break something. If you haven't done it before what I'm saying probably doesn't make mcuh sense, but if/when you replace your wheel with a Grant GT style wheel you'll see what I'm talking about. Just means I'll have manually to turn the signal off after making a turn. Here's the part I'm talking about

You don't want to use it without a signal canceller. If you forget and leave the signal on, drivers will think you're a geriatric. ;D
Your Grant hub kit should have come with roll pins. There is a trick to getting them in correctly so they work properly. Also you need to trim off the barbs at the end of the cancelling cams so the pins don't get hung up and break the cancelling arms off. Instructions should have come with your Grant hub.

No. You're thinking of the pins. The arm is the plastic things on the turn sw the pins are supposed to push against.
My bad, you're right. I have the arm on mine but no pins. The old school grant wheel my EB came with doesn't have them.

Been there 6 times this week haha. Just bought it and brought it home, my buddy following me kept honking at me to turn the signals off

Been there, done that ;) But i just replaced my 552 flashers with electronic ones. They're so loud that its an
audible reminder that I left the turn signal on. I really just need to fix my cancelling cam...
