Two horn contacts?

My horn is going off when I turn the steering wheel sometimes. I spent some time today trying to figure out the problem. I discovered that it only goes off when I push on the top of the wheel. My horn button in the center of the wheel works fine.
My turn signal, hazards, harness is new. I am running a Grant wheel. The adapter has a copper disk on the back that contacts the spring loaded horn contact.
I noticed my new harness has two contacts, one at the top and one at the bottom. The lower one sounds the horn when I ground it. I think my problem is with the one on the top. I put a piece of electric tape under it to see if it was grounding out but the problem only got worse.
What is the top secondary contact for? It is spring loaded just like the loser one. One has a blue wire with a yellow stripe and I think the top one has a blue wire with a black stripe.

Can I just remove the top contact?
The horn should work fine with just the lower contact.

You have mixed wiring.

The 2 contacts are used when you don't have a horn relay
The 1-contact system is used when you have a horn relay.
Grounding one pin to honk the horn says you have a horn relay.

The grant steering wheel adaptor is different between the two. That might be the problem. I'm leaning toward something in the steering wheel horn button as it relates to wheel flex. Might be upper column bearing allowing too much travel and the pin shorts to ground. It's a shot in the dark, there are already mis-matched parts to start with.

My 67 stared doing the same thing? New wiring harness but stock steering wheel and horn button. Following?

Stock steering column JohnJohn? Or swapped in from another vehicle?
If that was an original switch I'd say you had an early-'74 only model. But, since you said you replaced it, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you have a non-Bronco switch.

By sometime in '74 all EB's got horn relays, a single contact in the switch, and a single trace on the back of the steering wheel. Prior to that the switches had two contacts (like yours) and the steering wheel had two traces.
The integrated hazard switch means it's a '74 or later switch as well.
As Broncobowsher said, the steering wheel (or adapter for Grant) must match the switch. Yours are mis-matched.

Guessing it's a switch from a pickup truck, since they offered both relay and non-relay systems right up to the '79 model year.
Hazard switch and two contacts is the giveaway.

I can make the horn honk even with the horn button off and the horn button ground wire disconnect. I also have new bearings in the 77 auto column I rebuilt.
I looked at a few sites selling 74 to 77 auto column harnesses and noticed CJ Pony parts has one without the top contact and Jeff's Bronco Graveyard shows a pic of one with the two contacts.
If the two contacts are for a horn button with two leads and no relay then I am going to remove the top contact.
I am running the Centech harness and have a relay.

Also this problem did not exist for a year or more and had developed over time. That top contact mounts to a plastic mount and is warping under the pressure and making contact to honk when I turn the wheel or push on the top of the wheel when sitting.
I will let you know what the results in a bit.

Problem solved.
I removed the top connector and put electrical tape over the lead.
And my horn still works when I push the button in the center of the wheel.
